JUIETTE Z. PAYNE
Juiette Z. Payne spent most of his life pursuing a career in art, drawing since the age of 3. Now his passion is to serve the Lord with every gift he’s been given. He is driven, sold out to Christ and focused on his ministry and fulfilling His purpose. Juiette’s dream is to create music - music that ministers to God’s heart and touches the heart of man; music that is transformative and God-inspired.
Born September 21, 1988 in Chicago, IL, Juiette grew up as a gifted artist and talented musician. At the age of 3, he began to recognize his proficiencies as a sketch artist. He found himself winning art contests, having his works featured in art exhibitions, and selling his pieces to patrons. Around this time he was also developing a passion for singing - belting out commercial jingles and tv theme songs all day long. God used his love for singing jingles to develop Juiette into a worshipper. With humble beginnings, Juiette joined the Evangel Youth Choir at the age of 12 and began to develop as a singer. His Youth Choir was extended the invitation to travel to Florida and sing alongside grammy winner Donnie McClurkin.
Inspired by the movie Drumline, Juiette started to play his first instrument – the drums. Thereafter, God developed in him the skills to play bass, guitar, and piano. During high school, Juiette was a part of youth worship teams of Evangel World Outreach Center and New Life Community Church. It was during this time that the songs began to develop. He became the lead singer/songwriter of a band titled Ordained By Christ, and has many times shared the stage with this amazing team of worshippers.
God has opened many doors on his behalf, allowing him to minister in song at churches throughout the Chicagoland area. Juiette was previously worshipper leader of Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at the University of Illinois at Chicago, New Life Community Church (Austin - Oak Park), and Impact Ministries in Maywood, to name a few.
Juiette now performs under the stage name Juiette Z. Payne. His first single was entitled “Hold On” (2013). Since then, he has produced a number of singles, his EP “Eternal Dance”, and full length album “Who Am I?” (2016). He is currently working on his second album “Show Love”, set to release Summer 2018
Juiette is currently a faithful member under the ministry of Pastor Carlos Paniagua at Belmont Assembly of God in Chicago, IL. He serves his church on the Sunday service and Young Adults Ministry worship teams. He is married to his college sweetheart Gabriela Payne and together they have an artistically gifted son Landon.
One thing that Juiette desires, is to use his gifts to motivate others to tap into their creative and unique forms of worship. “…the moment you begin to see me and not the Christ in me, the cause is lost.”
